Paracosm Digest #25
Functional updates and new visuals

Products of Paracosm Project are impressively innovative, so it’s quite understandable for the development team to take some time to release them on a decent level - on the level of perfectness, in fact. We move on this path step by step, and here is our next report on progress with the Caer Sidi service, CrossParacosmic VR Hub, games of Post Scriptum, and Altar: the War of Gods.

The previous digest informs about the addition of two languages to our site - check out Paracosm Digest #24.

Partnership with the IOTA Foundation

The main news is at its proper first place in this digest - Caer Sidi and the IOTA Foundation have signed Memorandum of Understanding Concerning the Collaboration. The companies are partnering in bringing the distributed registry technology into the game industry.

Please, check out the details in the article: Official partnership of Caer Sidi and IOTA Foundation.

A new payment method

We’ve made a very significant step in the development of the Caer Sidi service - from now on, our users can pay for various physical, digital, and phygital assets with their bank cards.

The payment platform Fondy has become an addition to the previous payment methods (IOTA, Etherium, Bitcoin). Of course, Caer Sidi Credits remain the primary currency on the platform, but you can purchase it with Mastercard and Visa.

This aspect of our service is still should be improved. Fondy works only in the EU and CIS regions. We’ll inform about changing the situation through our social accounts and posts on the Caer Sidi blog.

Goblins vs Gnomes

The ecosystem of Caer Sidi is not only for the products of Paracosm Project. We are open to win/win partnership with 3rd-party developers - in publishing their digital and tabletop games, in connecting them to the distributed registry and assets trades, in releasing phygital assets that connect playing experience in reality and virtuality.

Our first partner is Wanted Games with their product Altar: the War of Gods. Now, another game of this studio has been added to Caer Sidi. It’s the tabletop game Goblins vs Gnomes - an intriguing adventure in the imaginary realm, where goblins pretend to be gnomes for keeping stolen gold.

Friends, we invite you to check out our post, dedicated to the bank cards payment and the game Goblins vs Gnomes - “Caer Sidi update: new game and payment method.”

Unique assets

One of the key features of the ecosystem Caer Sidi is the use of the distributed registry to store various data. This technology supports the highest possible level of security (details are in the article about Paracosm Keys) and the real-world value of digital assets. The history of in-game achievements, transactions with a particular item, participation in tournaments and special events - this and other information differs seemingly identical assets. That’s why implementing the feature of unique assets is such a big deal for us.

Visit your inventory and you will see all the assets there separately. They will have individual records in the distributed registry, so Caer Sidi users will be able to manage them individually.

This feature is also a part of the recent Caer Sidi update.

Gaming products on Caer Sidi

Let’s take a closer look at the development of our primary gaming products.

CrossParacosmic VR Hub

In this virtual incarnation of Caer Sidi, people can take the appearance of brave heroes and unique characters. This is possible thanks to VR Hub avatars. Now some new appearances have been added to an updated version of CrossParacosmic VR Hub - avatars from the paracosm of Post Scriptum.

To try them out, just install the application from this official page and choose whatever you like on the starting screen. For using CrossParacosmic VR Hub, you don’t necessarily need a VR headset - it’s possible to enjoy the virtual fortress Caer Sidi through the traditional PC version.

Soon some VR Hub avatars will be available for purchasing in Caer Sidi Store.

Post Scriptum CTG

This game is already open for alpha testing. Its latest build is available on this official page.

The development team has made:

  • a new logic of the tokens abilities;
  • an intermediate level of the buff/debuff system;
  • in-game triggers;
  • some additions to the visual and sound design.

The work on the characters, their stories and voices continues.

We are ready to reveal a case for keeping your collection of playing figurines/tokens in Post Scriptum CTG.

Post Scriptum RPG

This huge project asks really for a lot of attention, but the team does not hurry up the process - time is needed to make a decent role-playing game. For now, the focus is on:

  • creating tunes;
  • elaborating the crafting system;
  • the first-person view;
  • switching characters in real-time;
  • adding test range- and melee-weapons;
  • female animations;
  • some technical aspects of the game.

Here are new sketches of game characters - Tainted Robbers:

And here is another creature from the Post Scriptum paracosm - Undead Boar:

Altar: the War of Gods

Are you interested in battles of powerful deities for the faith of people? Delve into tense matches of this game, a product of our partners - the alpha-version of Altar: the War of Gods is available for open testing.

The development team works on various aspects of the playing process and fixes various bugs.

Please, take a look at these improved versions of:

  • the fighting process.

Thanks for your interest in Paracosm Project. What about meeting in the real world? Our team participates in the boardgame trade fair Internationale Spieltage SPIEL. It’s a chance to know Caer Sidi and our games better - and probably, discover the possibilities of our potential partnership.
